Despite the evacuation of thousands of Afghans by the United States to escape the Taliban regime, they still face a humanitarian emergency. They need shelter, protection and safety. However, their futures remain unclear, several thousand evacuees have made it to the United States, but many more are being temporarily housed at U.S. military bases around the world.
